Course Goal:

The course is designed to give the students’ an appreciation of accounting requirements   of different types of  Business  transactions and entities.


Course Objectives: The course concentrates on Accounting techniques applied to various areas of specialization applicable in business. After studying the course, the students should be able to apply the accounting principles, concepts and techniques in these specialized  areas in various situations.

Introduction to the need for Specialized Accounts, Partnership Accounts, Banking Financial statements, Farming Accounts, Insurance Accounts and Financial statements, Contracts and Long Term Projects Accounts, Accounts for Non Profit Making Entities, Accounting for Joint Ventures, Consignment and Royalties Accounts, Investments Accounts, Professional Firms Accounts.
