Engineering is the field of applied science. Engineers converts the available resources into the reality for the purpose of humankind for making the lives comfortable, welfare of the society and overall development of the nation and whole world. The scientific task related with engineering should be carried out in the organized way with the proper use of the limited available resources. In other words, engineers are also considered as managers and to manage the task in an effective and efficient manner, it is very necessary to have the knowledge and concept regarding the organization and management for engineers. 

The purpose of this course is to provide the basic concept regarding the management and organization including the school of thought of management, types of organization, leadership quality, motivation, human resource management and many more. 

This course is based on the syllabus prepared by the “Subject Committee” of Institute of Engineering, Tribhuvan University, Nepal. To support this, lecture notes containing theoretical portion as well as numerical portion (if required) will be provided.
