"Applied Mechanics” is a core subject taught to the undergraduate students of all disciplines of engineering. The subject is important as it deals with the basic concept with practical examples related force and its effect. It has wide ranges of applications for all disciplines of engineering.

This course is based on the lectures delivered by Professors in Institute of Engineering, Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal. From the experiences gained through useful class discussions and feed backs, the class notes are regularly revised for improvement and required explanatory class notes will be provided for all chapters focusing for the benefits of undergraduate  students.

All engineering disciplines of undergraduate students are required to take Applied Mechanics as a fundamental subject. The topic is significant because it is the basics course for all structural subjects as well as basic concept of motion and its effect. It has numerous applications across all engineering disciplines.
