IT Project Management is a scientific discipline focused on planning, organizing, and managing resources to achieve specific goals. A project is defined as a unique, temporary endeavor with clear start and end dates, often constrained by time and budget. Unlike routine business operations (e.g.production), projects require specialized technical and managerial skills. 

This course introduces the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK), guiding students through the project lifecycle- initiation, planning, execution, monitoring/ control, and closure- while providing hands-on experience with industry standard tools. Upon completion, students will be able to: (1) analyze, design, and implement IT/IS solutions tailored to organizational requirements; (2) apply best-practice methodologies to address organizational challenges through technology.
