The purpose of this course is to expose the participants to a range of tools and techniques that community economic development practitioners use to engage communities in identifying and analyzing problems and opportunities in local economies. The course is consciously designed in order to highlight the economic realities of ordinary people in their day-to-day lives, while at the same time attempting to be as relevant as possible to the kind of work carried out by participants.
