This course covers the basic principles, theories, competing policies, and legal rules of patent, copyright, trademark, trade secrets and other IP-related topics. Through lectures and discussions in classes, students will learn important principles of the intellectual property laws and will be exposed to their main features including protected subject matters, requirements for protection, limitations on IP rights and their enforcement as well as contemporary issues of intellectual property law.
