The innovative development of commercial banks is hampered by the lack of a single terminological apparatus that characterizes the process of financial innovative relations between banks and digitalization participants, as well as research on the development of innovations in each phase of the economic cycle. The methodological aspect of assessing financial banking innovations, showing the financial performance of their use, has not been fully studied. Discussion questions are about the role of strategy in the innovation activity of banks, the identification of factors that influence it.
