The course is intended to provide students with foundational knowledge of the research process, tools and report writing skills. Students will be guided through the main concepts in research as well as the research process which begins from problem identification to data collection, analysis and report writing. While the main focus will be on research in Communication, general research concepts will be addressed. The course will focus on the following: introduction of Communication research concepts; purpose and characteristics of research; developing viable research topics; research problem, objectives, questions and hypothesis; link between theory and research; literature review, qualitative and qualitative research; the research process, methodology and data collection methods; data presentation and analysis; report writing
